DIVISION IV Business Economics and Finance

Division IV constitutes the bridge between economic science, the market, and businesses. In particular, the scientific area οf the Division includes, on the one hand, the subjects of applied economics developed around the theory of the firm, business organization and business strategy, and on the other hand, subjects that concern the financial management and accounting of business and subjects focused on the operation and products of money, capital markets and derivative markets. In the undergraduate as well as in the graduate levels, the Division offers those courses that prepare students to undertake decision making positions in businesses, banks and organizations in the private and public sectors while it offers those students that search for theoretical and applied knowledge the opportunity to write a dissertation thesis within a structured doctoral program which is available to all divisions of the department.
