Dr. Charoula Ntelopoulou is Laboratory Teaching Staff in the scientific field of “eServices in Management and the Economy” in the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She holds a PhD in “Electronic Governance” from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications and the Department of Economics, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Msc in Management of New Technologies/Techno-Economics, Thesis: “E-Governance: Applications, Services, Evaluation Methods” Technical University of Athens, School of Electrical & Computer Engineering. Postgraduate Program “Certificate in Open and Distance Education,” Hellenic Open University. Degree of Pedagogic Studies, School of Pedagogical and Technological Education. BSc in Economics (with distinction) from the Department of Economics, University of Piraeus in Greece.
Dr. Ntelopoulou has three decades of experience in academic teaching and research, with a focus on eGovernment and eCommerce. She has been a member of the Laboratory of Informatics at the NKUA for 20 years, contributing to the field of eServices in Management and Economy. Additionally, she is responsible for managing the eGOV4SDG Sector and the Digital Economy & Sustainability sector within the Political Economy of Sustainable Development Lab https://pesd.econ.uoa.gr/ She has been teaching at the NKUA for the past 30 years, both in face-to-face and distance learning settings. Her courses cover theory and practical labs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Specifically, she teaches courses related to eGovernment, eCommerce, and Strategic Implementation of eCommerce. For 5 years, she served as an Internship Scientific Supervisor at the Department of Economics in the NKUA . Her research lies in the field of education, ICT, eGovernment, eCommerce, and sustainable development. Her research has been published in international academic journals, such as the International Journal of Electronic Governance, the European Journal of ePractice, Business & Entrepreneurship Journal. She served as a reviewer for several esteemed journals, including the International Journal of Electronic Governance (IJEG) by INDERSCIENCE, the International Journal of Education and Information Technology, the International Journal of Information Systems in the Service Sector (IJISSS) by IGI GLOBAL, and the journal Electronic Commerce Research and Applications by ELSEVIER. She is actively engaged in European and national funding programs, including the IST Programme, EuroCommerce UNI Europa, HORIZON 2020 Mobility for Growth RIA, EASME/EMFF BlueNetworks in the MED, INTERREG, ENI CBC MED, and Erasmus+
