Course description

Microeconomic Theory II is the continuation of Microeconomic Theory I. The course focuses on the analysis and evaluation of business behavior under perfect and imperfect competition (monopoly, monopolistic competition, oligopoly) in the goods and the factor markets, on the study of general equilibrium models and provides a brief introduction of welfare economics.

Lectures cover:

  1. Monopoly
  2. Monopoly Behavior
  3. Factor Markets
  4. Oligopoly
  5. Game theory
  6. General equilibrium (exchange, production)
  7. Welfare economics

Knowledge of introductory elements of economics, Microeconomic Theory I and mathematical calculus is taken for granted.
